The foundation upon which these two villas were built, holds a great history and the story of a beloved aunt and an exceptional woman – auntie Georgia.
It was the year of 1956, right after the devastating earthquake that destroyed almost every building in the island of Santorini. In order to help rebuild the homes of the islanders, the government has sent people from the mainland to help with the constructions.
One of the houses that were build in such a spirit of solidarity was the home of Georgia and her family of nine! This was a true woman of Santorini. Strong yet affectionate. She knew how to make the best out of what she had, providing her loved ones with more than the everyday commodities. She provided us with an example of character & spirit. This home has soaked up in its walls so much love and happiness that we can only hope it continues to do so.
As the years went by, auntie Georgia’s family grew bigger and changed. And so did the family home. In 2018, we decided to rebuild it into two separate Villas, both designed to make you feel like you are at your very own home and not at another temporary stay. That’s what real hospitality means after all, as auntie taught us.
